Valentine's Day song

So today I told my students to pick a song for Valentine's Day. They had to choose song that would be appropiate enough for such a romantic day. What a wonderful surprise when Javi suggested 'I don't wanna miss a thing' by Aerosmith, the Armagedon sound track. I have always considered that this song is one of the most romantic and beautifuly written ever. Besides, it brings back very nice memories from the past, my erasmus year in Coventry and also my wedding day cause this was the song we chose for the cake moment. So I just ask you to listen to the song and pay attention to the lyrics. They are truly amazing and very suitable for today.

 Happy Valentines's Day you all!

Muse Concert

So here I am again, after a huge break and many 1st and 2nd of ESOs I am teaching 4th of ESO again. And this time I am going to start posting about the last concert I went. It was June last year when I finally could watch Muse live. I had tried usuccesfully the previous years but I hadn't been able to. Tickets were sold really fast but this time I got mine. The concert was in Barcelona so we had to spend the night there. This meant leaving Emma for a weekend for the first time, but I guess it was worthwhile. As I got in the train I felt very excited. Finally I was going to enjoy a Muse concert and altough the company was not the best (my husband doesn't like Muse) I was determined to have a blast! As soon as I got in the stadium I realized my tickets were much better than I expected and I was going to enjoy the performance. And the show begins! Supremacy, Unsustainable, Madness, Panic station (where you could see Merkel, Obama, Rajoy cartoons dancing to this song) included in the last album Second Law were played but also some old songs which made people enjoy a lot. Time is running out, United States Of Eurasia, Stockholm Syndrome, Undisclosed Desires or Uprising. I couldn't stop jumping up and down singing Uprising. It is one of my favourite songs by far But not everything could be perfect. I really hope they sang Resistance, after all it was the main song from their previous album, but they didn't. What a pity! But I guess this is a good excuse to go to the next concert when they come to Spain again! So what was the last concert you went to? Did you enjoy? Who did you go with?

Music from Fama (2)

I'm going to write a second part of "Songs from fama" because thanks to this TV show we are getting to know lots of new singers and amazing songs.

One of them is Lady Gaga, obviously that's not her real name. It is Steffanie Joanne Angelina Germannota. She didn't like it and she changed it by Lady Gaga. She was born in New York in 1986. In 2008, she moved to LA and she recorded her debut album The Fame which includes her hits Just Dance and Poker face.

Kate Perry is another Us singer. She was born in California in 1984. She started singing in the church when she was a child so she grew up listening to gospel music. Her first album One of the boys was released in 2008. It includes Hot n cold and I kissed a girl.

Some other songs consit of the collaboration of two famous singers. It is the case of Broken Strings by Nelly Furtado and James Morrison. Do you like this duet? What is the meaning of "you can't play on broken strings"?

Here you have the videos. Which do you prefer?
